CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

With the support of our team members, partners and collaborators, we believe that we can ameliorate both our services and the experience of our guests, whilst simultaneously contributing to the invigoration of our hotels’ locales, including helping the wider community. Our goals are:

TO IMPROVE THE EXPERIENCE OF OUR GUESTS
We encourage our guests to support recycling, and to save energy and water. We have installed recycling bins in many areas of our hotels and we provide our guests with sustainability information in their rooms and in the common areas.

Promoting the Cretan culture is also important in order to offer our guests an authentic experience. A few initiatives undertaken include:

  • Serving a Greek-inspired breakfast in each of our hotels
  • Organising Greek cooking lessons for our guests
  • Hosting a Cretan dance show on a weekly basis

GOLDEN Hotels & Resorts also works to safeguard our guests’ basic human rights. One key focus includes respecting the privacy of our clients by, for example, ensuring the safe storage and sensitive handling of any personal data, and guaranteeing that our hotels are discrimination-free. In addition, we strive to deliver respectful marketing that is mindful and inclusive by aiming to embrace and encompass a range of styles, attitudes and ethnic backgrounds, forgoing any one limited so-called ideal.

TO ENJOY A FRUITFUL RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR STAFF

Our staff members are integral to our company’s long-term development. We value our members of staff as being vital and we support the development of their skills and the ever-improvement of their working conditions. Giving our employees access to continuous education and specialisation, and ensuring the creation of a safe and pleasant work environment are top priorities in engendering better staff performance and, consequently, improved guest experience.

All staff members are fully insured and are employed on a contract basis according Greek law.

All employees are equal and have equal opportunities to evolve.

We do not discriminate when hiring staff (based on sex, age, colour, religion etc.).

Also, our company respects all our employees’ basic human rights, as well as complying with all national laws. We have a grievance procedure in place, which is applicable to the whole business and ensures the remediation of any possible issues. Any employee with concerns regarding their human rights or the impact of our company’s activities may raise said concerns through the internal grievance procedure process.

One of our main concerns is to ensure healthy and safe working conditions for our staff. To achieve that, we comply with the labour law, and we follow the instructions of our safety technician.
